Kabina Distilling Classic Rakija
The more premium version of the 47% Ezevo, Kabina’s Classic Rakija has a sweeter nose of old-fashioned boiled lollies and vanilla custard, with much less of the floral and fresh notes of the Ezevo. Again, we have great integration of alcohol with no hint of spirit harshness – a commendable achievement at 47% and with no time in oak to mellow. That sweetness pays off on the palate with notes of ripe pear, a super easy-drinking texture and a clean, crisp finish. If you like your spirits more refined and less punchy, this is the one for you from the Kabina range. Personally, I prefer the complexity and intrigue of the Ezevo 47%, but this is a hard spirit to fault given that the cleanliness is clearly intentional and the skill of the distiller is obvious.
