The Red Hot and Rated list is one of the year's most anticipated guides from Halliday Wine Companion. The guide features 100 of the latest and greatest Australian red wines, from refined Mornington Peninsula pinot noir and big Barossa shiraz, to powerful cabernet sauvignon from Margaret River. Making this guide even more curated is the fact that all wines included in its pages received a score of 95 points or more in the 2019 Halliday Wine Companion.
A hard copy version of guide is included in the October/November issue of Halliday Wine Companion, but wine-lovers that prefer scrolling on smartphones to flipping pages can still discover the wines and read up on the tasting notes by viewing a digital version of the guide below.
If you’re in a rush (and have a Halliday Wine Companion membership) you can also go direct to the digital tasting notes for these quality red wines by clicking on the section headers below and start adding favourites to your virtual cellar.
Editor’s note: James Halliday and his tasting team provided the reviews featured here without knowledge of any advertising placed in conjunction with the 2018 Red Hot and Rated guide, and were not involved in the final selection of wines.
