Our Review

Winemaker and proprietor Alexi Christidis explains that the name Chalari reflects his Greek heritage and his father, always one for a cup of coffee or a drink and watching the world go by – the word meaning 'relaxed'. While studying oenology at CSU, Alexi decided to make small batches of wine, exemplified by his purchase of 2t of hand-picked riesling from Frankland River, making it in a 5t winery in the Perth Hills, using a low-intervention natural approach. -JAMES HALLIDAY
