The desire for a new challenge led expats Melissa Bell and Corrie Scheepers to take on and transform one of Pemberton’s oldest wineries, established in ’85 as Donnelly River Wines, into Ampersand Estates. Beyond the wines, led by the premium Homestead range, the estate includes a cellar door, distillery and luxury accommodation, and is a popular spot for weddings. -JAMES HALLIDAY
