Our Review

Once a part-time occupation for 3rd-generation sheep and beef farmers Jim and Beverly Gilbert, but now a full-time job and a very successful one. In '14 the 4th generation, sons Clinton and Matthew, joined the management of the business. The mature vineyard (shiraz, chardonnay, riesling and cabernet sauvignon) coupled with contract winemaking at West Cape Howe, has long produced high-class wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY

The Mount Barker region and Gilberts specialise in Premium table wines.
The most awarded styles for Gilberts are : Riesling and Shiraz.
