Heydon Estate

Margaret River dentist and cricket tragic George Heydon and wife Mary have been involved in the region’s wine industry since 1995. They became 50% partners in Arlewood, and when that partnership was dissolved in '04 they retained the property and the precious 2ha of cabernet sauvignon and 2.5ha of Gingin clone chardonnay planted in ’88. Additional plantings from ’95 include Dijon chardonnay clones, sauvignon blanc, semillon, shiraz and petit verdot. The estate is now biodynamic; nearby neighbour Vanya Cullen inspired the decision.
