Borrello

Owned by Carl and Carla Borrello. Carl is a 3rd generation Borrello local (his grandfather Nicola (aka Nick) emigrated to the Perth Hills from Italy in ’27, where Carl’s father, Ted, later worked in the vineyards) and moved down to Margaret River to establish the Down To Earth grapegrowing and viticulture. Borrello was born of a desire to work with some of the better parcels themselves, instead of selling them, with winemaker Paul Atwood (ex-Leeuwin fame) at the helm. The wines are made from fruit sourced from around WA, including Margaret River, Swan Valley and Frankland River. -ERIN LARKIN
