Our Review
A long-established and perfectly situated winery reaping the full benefits of its 50yo vines; recent plantings have increased production. All the wines are well made, the shiraz (here, syrah), providing further proof of the suitability of the variety to the region. In '11 Warramate was purchased by the partnership that owns the adjoining Yarra Yering; the Warramate brand is kept as a separate operation, using the existing vineyards. -JAMES HALLIDAY
