Rongo Wines

Rongo Wines is a joint project between friends Ray Chen and Josh Liu. The pair met while working in Napa Valley and have worked in wine all over the world, from China and America to New Zealand, France and Australia. Their academic credentials are equally impressive. They both studied winemaking and viticulture at Lincoln University (NZ) and UC Davis (California), and studied for their masters at Cornell University (New York) and Adelaide University. Rongo is a project that works around their day jobs. Ray is product innovation manager at Endeavour Group and Josh is assistant winemaker at Stuart Wines, Heathcote. They source fruit from growers with sustainable practices and produce the wine in rented winery space, operating out of an outer Melbourne suburb with barrel storage and cellar.
