Winemaker David Bicknell has long proved his worth as an extremely talented winemaker. At the top of the Oakridge brand tier is 864, all Yarra Valley vineyard selections, only released in the best years (chardonnay, pinot noir, syrah, cabernet sauvignon); next is the Vineyard Series (the chardonnay, pinot noir and sauvignon blanc come from the cooler Upper Yarra Valley; the shiraz and cabernet sauvignon from the Lower Yarra). The estate vineyards are Oakridge Vineyard, Hazeldene Vineyard and Henk Vineyard. In early ’21, the brand was sold to Paragon Wine Estates, which is part of the Woolworths-owned Endeavour Group.
