Giant Steps is firmly established among the Australian wine elite. It’s long been a quality-obsessed outfit, but if anything, its sale to Jackson Family Wines in '20 only sharpened the emphasis on quality. Single-vineyard chardonnay and pinot noir from across the upper and lower Yarra Valley are the foundation for the winery’s reputation, but really every winemaking excursion this winery takes has a habit of turning to gold. Long-term winemaker Steve Flamsteed, who is still involved, left the main winemaking post with the wines in impeccable shape; current head winemaker Melanie Chester has ensured that the changeover has been both seamless and positive. -CAMPBELL MATTINSON

One hour from Melbourne our Tasting Room and Wine Bar is located in Healesville. With our individual vineyard sites across the Yarra Valley we love our central Healesville location to be able to share our wines with you. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual glass, a leisurely bottle, or an expertly guided tasting adventure, our space invites you to revel in the Giant Steps world of wine.

Yarra Valley Tasting ($15pp) – a seasonal selection of our Yarra Valley range to explore the varieties and styles of our region.
Signature Single Vineyard Experience ($55pp) - an enthralling journey that navigates through the Yarra Valley and beyond, unveiling the region’s distinctive profile and the fascinating attributes of the grape varieties and vineyards. Bookings essential.

Giant Steps is an award winning winery. A winery with great wine, a cellar door offering an interesting and educational wine experience, stories of our single vineyards, and a small selection of dishes based on fresh, local produce.
Our cellar door is open 7 days from 11am – 7pm for wine tastings and all day grazing. Friday and Saturday evenings will see our menu complimented by a few specials featuring beautiful, seasonal produce sourced locally.
