Emersleigh Estate

Emersleigh Estate fulfils a dream of more than 30 years for John Wall and wife Michelle. In 1996 they began the planting of their vineyard, with 1.5ha of pinot noir, 0.3ha chardonnay, and a few rows each of sauvignon blanc and shiraz. They have two brands: Off the Wall for table wine, and Emersleigh for sparkling. It is the latter that John finds most fascinating, including its concept and culture, but, most of all, the enjoyment of drinking it. They plan to eventually process all sparkling wine onsite. -JAMES HALLIDAY
