Allinda

Winemaker Al Fencaros has a Bachelor of Wine Science from CSU and was formerly employed by De Bortoli in the Yarra Valley. Al's grandparents made wine in Hungary and Serbia, and Al's father continued to make wine after migrating to Australia in the early '60s. The vineyard is now more than 30 years old, and is managed without the use of chemical fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides. The Allinda wines are produced onsite; all except the Shiraz from Heathcote are estate-grown. Limited retail distribution in Melbourne and Sydney. -JAMES HALLIDAY
