Our Review
It all started with 0.5t of Pyrenees cabernet sauvignon back in '17, hence the name Semitone. What started off as a curiosity and passion for winemaking, coupled with opportunity and shadowing of a number Victorian winemakers, teacher-come-amateur-winemaker David Garner is now in his 5th vintage of making ultra-small batches of wine from predominantly (at this stage) Western Victorian vineyards in the Pyrenees, Geelong and Grampians regions. Production grew to 1t/year in the subsequent vintages, culminating in a 3t production from the amazing '21 vintage in Vic, in time for the 1st commercial release. -JENI PORT
