Bigibila Wines

Victoria | Pyrenees

Our Review

Peter Bicknell planted shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot in 1994; the first vintage was in 2002 under the original name of Polleters. Jillian Henderson joined the company in '14 and together they planted new varieties, built a winery and increased production. Peter and Jillian make rich, powerful estate-grown wines using sustainable farming and low impact winemaking practises. ‘Bigibila' means echidna in the Gamilaraay language, spoken by the Gamilaroi people. Exports to Canada and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
