The name of this business indirectly reflects the roots of the Baggio family in Montello, Italy, dating back to the early years of the 20th century. The original focus was on food, but in '99 Paul Baggio began planting an estate vineyard, in due course supplemented by the purchase of additional grapes from Victorian regions. The vineyard is planted to shiraz, pinot noir, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. -JAMES HALLIDAY
