Our Review
The Macedon area has proved marginal in spots and the Hanging Rock vineyards, with their lovely vista towards the rock, are no exception. Founder John Ellis thus elected to source additional grapes from various parts of Victoria to produce an interesting and diverse range of varietals at different pricepoints. John’s children Ruth and Robert are integral to the business today; Robert has an oenology degree from the University of Adelaide, after that working as a Flying Winemaker in Champagne, Burgundy, Oregon and Stellenbosch and Ruth has a degree in wine marketing from the University of Adelaide. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door tasting is free for individuals. We have over 20 wines on offer for tasting. We also have our estate grown Hanging Rock Beef for sale through the cellar door throughout the year. During the months of October to March we hold one of country Victoria’s largest sculpture exhibitions ‘Art in the Vines’. HOURS Open 7 days 10am - 5pm
