Our Review
The Pizzini family have been grapegrowers in the King Valley for over 40 years. Originally much of the then riesling, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon grape production was sold, but since the late '90s the focus has been on winemaking, particularly from Italian varieties. Pizzini's success has enabled an increase in vineyard holdings to 80ha, with 30ha of sangiovese, 20ha of pinot grigio, 13ha of prosecco, 2.5ha each of brachetto, arneis and verduzzo, 2ha each of nebbiolo and colorino and 0.5ha of teroldego. -JAMES HALLIDAY
