Our Review
Melbourne-based business partners and friends, Oliver and Brooke Smith, Paul and Tanya Smith and Charlie and Hayley Blomley bought Waratah Hills cellar door in Aug ’20. Oliver's brother Ben lives on site to manage the business. Viticulturist Georgia Roberts is reinvigorating the vineyards including re-trellising the 1.2ha of chardonnay and 2.8ha of pinot noir. The plan is to plant another 4ha of the aforementioned varieties to double the production of single-vineyard wines yet remain a boutique producer. A commercial kitchen has been added to expand the casual dining experience, with a focus on pairing wine and food. -JANE FAULKNER
