Soho Road Vineyard

Victoria | Geelong

Our Review

Soho Road Vineyard was planted by Ian and Wendy Coghill in 1978, and is believed to be the oldest vineyard on the Bellarine Peninsula. The site on Soho Road, Drysdale overlooks Swan Bay and Port Phillip Heads. The vineyard (split equally between chardonnay and pinot noir) is run organically: sheep graze in the vineyard in autumn and winter, providing fertiliser, reducing weeds and the need for the use of chemicals. Now a 50/50% joint venture between owners Malcolm and Jan Hastings and Will Derham, owner of Banks Road Vineyard, the wines are made at Banks Road. -JAMES HALLIDAY
