Weeping Grass Creek

Victoria | Beechworth

Our Review

Weeping Grass Creek – named after the region’s soft, native grass – is an integrated farm business run by Digby Race, his partner Fleur Stelling and Fleur’s sister, Anne Stelling. The trio took over from Fleur and Anne’s parents in the late ’90s, planting vines in ’00. The 60ha mixed farm encompasses sheep farming, revegetation and conservation projects and a small 0.4ha vineyard, planted to shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. The vineyard is intentionally small enough for 2 people to tend by hand with minimal mechanisation and intervention. Wines are made at nearby Billy Button Wines. -JENI PORT
