Our Review
Two Tonne Tasmania was established in '13 by young-gun winemaker Ricky Evans. Ricky has 2 other labels, Woodlawn and the funky Havilah, but Two Tonne Tasmania is where he gets to explore subregionality in his winemaking, sourcing grapes from several choice sites across Tasmania. Close to home, the Tamar Valley (TMV) wines are sourced from a number of sites across the region, including Relbia and the family property at Hillwood. The East Coast (EST) wines hail from the north-eastern coastline of the island and those designated (STH) are sourced from the Derwent and Coal River Valleys in southern Tasmania. Beautifully made wines across the board and one of Tasmania’s most exciting young producers. -DAVE BROOKES
