Haddow + Dineen

Tasmania | Tasmania

Our Review

This is a collaborative winemaking project involving winemaker Jeremy Dineen and cheesemaker Nick Haddow. Jeremy was chief winemaker at Josef Chromy from '05–20, his knowledge and skill self-evident. Nick Haddow is a cheesemaker and author with a string of awards to his name, but is perhaps best known now for his culinary crusading on SBS’ Gourmet Farmer. Haddow + Dineen sources from their vineyard at the mouth of the Tamar River on white quartz gravel, and another they lease in the Coal River Valley. Their wines have no additions other than a small amount of SO₂, and are not fined or filtered. Tastings are available at the Bruny Island Cheese cellar door. -JAMES HALLIDAY
