Our Review
Winemaker Alice Davidson made the first vintage of Aunt Alice in 2016. A blend of Limestone Coast pinot noir, riesling and pinot gris; a wine label hatched while working in winemaking roles in Robe and Mount Benson. Today, Alice makes wine in Tasmania, having moved to the Huon Valley in ’22, at her ‘day gig’ alongside Peter Dredge at Dr Island Winemaking while sourcing grapes from the Tamar Valley for her beautifully detailed and soulful chardonnay and pinot noirs. Alice is proving another welcome addition to the burgeoning ranks of talented winemakers in the state. -DAVE BROOKES
