Our Review
The Cotton family has been farming on the east coast of Tasmania for almost 200 years, over six generations. The property was first surveyed by first-generation Francis Cotton in 1830. Skipping 178 years, sheep farmer Crispin Cotton decided to plant vines on the property in 2008, choosing pinot noir (1ha) and sauvignon blanc (0.5ha). Lisdillon is a very beautiful part of a beautiful island, and when Crispin passed away in April '14, his widow Jane and daughter Katherine took over management of the vineyard. Further plantings are planned. -JAMES HALLIDAY
