Tapanappa

South Australia | Piccadilly Valley

Our Review

Tapanappa was founded by Brian and Ann Croser in 2002. The word Tapanappa is derived from the local Indigenous language that translates to ‘stick to the path’. Through Tapanappa, Brian is continuing a career-long mission of producing unique ‘wines of terroir’ – matching the climate, soil and geology to the right varieties from Tapanappa's three distinguished sites in SA. Wines are made from the Whalebone Vineyard at Wrattonbully (planted to cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and merlot in '74), the original Tiers Vineyard (planted to chardonnay in '79) and the Tiers 1.5M Vineyard, both situated in the Adelaide Hills' Piccadilly Valley, and the Foggy Hill Vineyard on the southern tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula (pinot noir). The winery and cellar door are located in the heart of the Piccadilly Valley. -JAMES HALLIDAY
