Adam Hooper is the moving force in this venture, having made wine in McLaren Vale for over 20 years, and his personal brand, La Curio, for 11 years. He has worked vintages in France and Italy, as well as for McLaren Vale producers including Geoff Merrill, Tatachilla, Maxwell and Redheads Studio. Here he has joined forces with Mitch Ramdahnie, whom he met in Canada selling La Curio wines in 2008, and who's been back every year since to help at the winery known as The Confessional, home to a number of boutique winemakers including Duck in a Row and La Curio itself. Declan Rowan, an old school friend of Adam, is the third partner and also grows grapes in the Fleurieu. -JAMES HALLIDAY
