Our Review
The Ciccocioppo family migrated from central Italy in the 1950s. As is so often the case, wine was in their veins. In 2001, second-generation John and wife Connie purchased a grazing property at Springton, and began the planting of shiraz and riesling. Each year they increased the shiraz and riesling blocks, but also added smaller amounts of cabernet sauvignon and grenache, and a smaller amount still of montepulciano. The wines are available for tasting at Urban Wine Room, 33-37 Wright Street, Adelaide. Good label design and packaging. -JAMES HALLIDAY
