Our Review
In the Vine Pull Scheme of the 1980s, the 120ha Leasingham Wines vineyard in the hills immediately above the hamlet of Leasingham was removed. Partially replanted in '99, this precious block of terra rossa over deep limestone produces outstanding grapes. In 2007 owners Andrew Miller, Richard Yeend and Justin Ardill decided to retain a significant part of the crop to produce Riesling, Shira z and Sparkling Riesling, purchasing sauvignon blanc from premium cool climate regions. The Rockridge range is produced exclusively for Independent Brands Australian (IBA) for sale in Cellarbrations, Bottle-O and IGA stores. -JAMES HALLIDAY
