Our Review
Sieger Estate was founded by Degang Liu in '16 with an initial purchase of 16ha planted with 4ha of cabernet sauvignon. A further purchase of a 4ha plot of shiraz came in ’18, and more expansion still to Victoria's Heathcote in ’19. The wines are for the most part ‘traditional’ Barossa with rich, resonant fruit, a fair lick of spicy oak and compact tannin structures built for the cellar and those seeking regional truth. Wines are primarily aimed at the export market, but nevertheless make a welcome addition to the local wine scene. -DAVE BROOKES
