Milhinch Wines

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

In 1999 Peter Milhinch and Sharyn Rogers established 2ha each of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon near Greenock Creek, which flows through their property. At the foot of their vineyard is the award-winning Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage, a restored 1860s German settlers cottage offering luxury accommodation for one couple. The cottage restoration and Peter and Sharyn’s wine production began in 2003, when Peter was recovering from a serious illness. The Seize the Day phrase on their wine labels acknowledges their journey through adversity, as Peter notes, ‘Carpe Diem – we never know what tomorrow may bring!’ -JAMES HALLIDAY
