Blaxland Vineyards

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

Founder and owner Ron Collins has prospered mightily given the headwinds that have buffeted the Australian wine industry over the past decade. Blaxland Vineyards is the 12th-largest vineyard proprietor in Australia; it owns the 320ha Tanunda Hill Vineyard in the Barossa Valley, the 266ha Old Mundulla Vineyard in the Limestone Coast, and the 89ha St Magnus Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. It has side-stepped the cost of establishing a winery by forming ongoing arrangements with leading wineries to make its wines meeting its cost criteria, overseen by Chris Polymiadis. The wines have enjoyed considerable success in overseas wine shows, notably in China, California and Germany. The value for money is self- evident. Exports to UK, US, China and Japan. -JAMES HALLIDAY
