Uleybury Wines

The Pipicella family – headed by Italian-born Tony – has established nearly 45ha of vineyard near One Tree Hill in the Mount Lofty Ranges; 10 varieties have been planted, with more planned. Daughter Natalie Pipicella, who has completed the wine marketing course at the University of SA, was responsible for overseeing the design of labels, the promotion and advertising, and the creation of the website. In 2013, Uleybury entered into an agreement to sell $200,000 worth of its premium wines to a Chinese consortium from Longyan City Xinluo. Tony Pipicella acknowledged that this was a single order, but commented that if the arrangement continues into the future, Uleybury would cease selling grapes to Penfolds and triple its production staff.
