Travellers Rest Wines

Although you would never guess it from their names, Spencer Close is Martin Scappatura's nephew, both from Italian families. They both pursued other occupations in Australia before establishing Travellers Rest, Spencer was a dentist, and Marty now runs a successful roofing business after many years as a truck driver. He has four adult children and grandchildren beginning to sprout, and family get-togethers are exactly as you imagine them to be given their Italian heritage. The two learned they had an interest in wine at a cousin's 21st birthday party, and decided they would make a barrel of wine for the family. The floodgates opened, and soon there were 60 hogsheads taking over Marty's shed space, and Travellers Rest Wines was born. -JAMES HALLIDAY
