DC. Shaw

This is the label of winemaker Charlie Shaw who, after multiple vintages both here and abroad, has a calibrated approach in creating wines with his discerning use of winemaking methods – whole bunch, new oak and lees application are used with the site and season in mind. The goal is to express the carefully farmed and selected vineyards that Charlie works with, which are a mix of estate and negotiant, though all certified organic. There are a number of single-site wines in the range: chardonnay from the famed Scary Gully and Morialta sites, and shiraz from the Gumeracha vineyard. -KATRINA BUTLER
