Bird in Hand

South Australia | Adelaide Hills

Our Review

This family-owned business takes its name from a gold mine that prospered nearby during the 19th century. Andrew Nugent and winemaking director Kym Milne (MW) work together to produce estate wines of high quality. Sustainable initiatives in the vineyard include fertilisers and fungicides being derived from organic sources, and herbicide use has been drastically reduced, with future use moving to zero. The wines are released in 4 tiers: Tribute Series, Nest Egg, Bird in Hand and Two in the Bush. -JAMES HALLIDAY
