Tornielli Family Wines

The Tornielli family traces its winemaking roots in Italy back to 1500, albeit with gaps during wars and relocations within Italy. The last vintage in Italy was in 1966, and another gap to 2014 when Edoardo (Ed) Tornielli migrated to Australia with a Bachelor of Science in Law, and a post-graduate course in Food and Beverage Logistics gained in Italy. The extensive website is full of grand plans and statements such as ‘The wines are the resultant (sic) blend of Italian tradition and Australia viniculture, with notes of each country's cultures, marking for a strong yet refined finish' or ‘Our vineyards are Langhorne Creek and Barossa Valley', and there is no winery mentioned.
