Our Review
Jean-Paul Trijsburg graduated with an agronomy degree from the Wageningen University in the Netherlands and followed this with a joint MSc in viticulture and oenology in Montpellier, France and Geisenheim, Germany. In between degrees he headed to Burgundy in ’07, which left him with a love of all things French, but he went on to work in wineries in Pomerol, the Rheingau, Rioja, Chile and South Africa. Since ’12, he has called Australia home, having worked for Hanging Rock Winery in the Macedon Ranges and Lethbridge Wines in Geelong. Today, he farms a small pinot noir vineyard in the Ballarat region, with additional sourcing from Heathcote, Bendigo and Ballarat. -JAMES HALLIDAY
