Our Review
In 1922, after serving in WWI, Reginald Curtis migrated to Australia from Cornwall in England. In the same year Reginald planted the Curtis family vineyard on 32 acres of land in Waikerie, SA. His son Gordon Curtis was one of the first students to graduate from Roseworthy, specialising in viticulture. The Curtis vineyard supplied grapes to G. Gramp & Sons (later Orlando). In 2007 third generation Scott Curtis, with extended wine industry experience, became chief winemaker of Noble Road Wines. The venture has 100ha of vines in the Clare Valley, 10ha in the Barossa and 8.5ha in McLaren Vale. -JAMES HALLIDAY
