Novum is the result of Will and Rachel Hoare's lifelong passion for exceptional wine. Will’s journey began in an unconventional way – expelled from school for selling wine to his classmates, he quickly charted his own path. Starting on the bottling line at Cloudy Bay, he later went to Fromm Winery, where a one-year role ultimately turned into 19. Over those 19 years, Will’s extensive experience working with growers allowed him to develop strong relationships and secure exquisite small parcels of fruit across Marlborough’s finest vineyards. Today, Novum (meaning "new feature") produces wines from these unique and distinctive vineyard sites across Marlborough. Will and Rachel working closely with growers to produce a range of wines, beginning with their chardonnay and pinot noir offerings. -SHANTEH WALE
