Our Review
When speaking of New Zealand pinot noir, Grant Taylor’s name will be at the forefront of the conversation and his Gibbston Valley winery, Valli, is at the pointy end of the Central Otago wine pyramid. Grant established Valli in 1998 after many years of working in the US, Australia and France. Since 2015, winemaker Jen Parr has joined, making for a formidable team. The wines are top notch and come from the Gibbston, Bannockburn and Bendigo sub-regions as well as Grant’s beloved Waitaki Valley. Our wines can be tasted next door to our Gibbston vineyard at Kinross. Finalist for NZ Cellar Door of the year 2019, Kinross act as a Cellar Door and Tasting Room for Valli as well as a few other boutique Gibbston wineries.
We are close friends with the wine team at Kinross, who very much share our passion for the region. They know our vineyards, wines, and winemakers as well as anyone. We know you’ll love visiting our corner of Central Otago.
