Toogoolah Wines

Local business owners, Laurence and Susan Mockler, began the development of their vineyard 12km east of Orange in 1995. Typical of many such properties in the area, it was once a cherry orchard, at an elevation of 935m on rich, red volcanic soils. The 8ha of vines include sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, riesling, shiraz and pinot noir, part of the production sold as grapes and part competently contract-made. -JAMES HALLIDAY
