Our Review
Alan and Maria Roe started planting their vineyard in 1996, completing the plantings in 2000. After 32 years of owning and running plumbing supplies shops and a bathroom showroom, they decided it was time to retire, and built the cellar door in '06. The wines have been made by First Creek, as has the exotic range of fruit-based liqueurs using family recipes from Maria's relatives in Italy. -JAMES HALLIDAY
