Our Review
Andrew Thomas moved to the Hunter Valley from McLaren Vale to join the winemaking team at Tyrrell's Wines. After 13 years, he left to continue the development of his own label. He makes single-vineyard wines, underlining the subtle differences between the various subregions of the Hunter. The major part of the production comes from long-term arrangements with growers of old-vine semillon and shiraz. The acquisition of Braemore Vineyard in '17 was significant, giving Thomas Wines a long-term supply of grapes from one of the Hunter Valley's most distinguished semillon sites. Andrew’s eldest son Daniel stepped into the role of assistant winemaker in '20. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Our Cellar Door experience offers an indepth wine tasting and understanding of Hunter Semillon and Shiraz. We are the only producer that specifically focuses on these two signature varieties.
A tasting with our team will be fun & enjoyable. We'll take you on a journey of the Valley, sharing the textures & colours of the soils, explaining how these influence the taste of our Single Vineyard Semillon & Shiraz. You'll walk away having learned what it is that makes these two varieites so unique, when grown in the Hunter Valley.
