The Hunter Vineyard

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

Hunter Vineyard's 2.8ha of gewurztraminer and cabernet sauvignon were originally planted in 1974 by Frank Brady, the vineyard known as Taliondal. The cabernet grapes were sold to Lake's Folly for some years, but the vineyard then fell into disuse. Neal and Marcia Flett purchased the property in 2008 and have nursed the vines back into production. The plantings are on one of the highest points in the Hunter Valley, situated on a limestone ridge. -JAMES HALLIDAY
