Our Review
Jim and Karen Coe are the current generation of several to own and run the Cooba East Station cattle grazing property. In 2003 they established 52ha of vines, and from the outset have operated on a strict sustainability philosophy (and practice). They have placed a perpetual covenant on 485ha of a grassy woodland and mountain that rises behind and directly above the vineyard. This has created a major wildlife habitat, and all the vineyard operations are similarly focused. Solar power is used, chemical sprays are kept to a minimum, and the wines are made offsite on the facilities run by various of their contract winemakers. Exports to the UK. -JAMES HALLIDAY
