Surprisingly taut and loaded profile. Filled with juxtaposing vegetal and sweet, honey notes. There's a distinct green capsicum element throughout that carries a lot of the more spiced botanicals. The intensity of the product struggles to find clarity on its own; however, the addition of tonic helps to bring more focus. The vegetal characters drop out a little, and the menthol and pepper flavour shows its intricacy. Its complexity is somewhat its downfall, with more limited uses, leaning into more Collins-style or gimlet-like drinks; however, it’s important to remember that this style of product is designed to be mixed and not drunk on its own.
