Robbers Dog Sur Le Ble Gin
This gin is filled to the brim with aromas of warm, baked grain and a distinct note of hard honey lollies. The rich honey, along with an undertow of grass, is striking and persistent. Other characteristics are less perceptible, however still present – a mark of wafting warm citrus and subtle peppery pine sap. On the palate, the spirit is loaded with sunny and bright character. The juniper in particular hits first with a burst of freshly crushed pine needles. The other botanicals work harmoniously and cohesively with the heavier texture of the gin, creating a uniform tone. Having the palate present with fresher, lively flavours creates an interesting comparison between the aroma and flavour, enriching the drinking experience with an engaging liaison between the two. The finish packs a punch with an acute dry pepper tone, which grips and lengthens the spirit.
