Takeaway: top tastes from restaurants and bars in your city

By Haydn Spurrell

Whether or not you find yourself stuck at home, there’s no better time than now to indulge in some of what your city has to offer from the comfort of your home.

With Australians again struck by Covid-19 restrictions to varying degrees, it remains as good a time as any to throw your support in for local businesses that are thinking outside the box to offer stay-at-home incentives.

See below for just some of what our cities are doing during the latest lockdowns.

Apoteca Bar & Restaurant, Adelaide, SA

Adelaide’s west end precinct Apoteca Bar and Restaurant has been celebrating post-lockdown – and, perhaps, commiserating the fatigue that comes after – with a Post Lockdown 3.0 Hamper. The hamper has sizing options for two people or four, and includes a choice of two starters, two mouth-watering mains, and the same for dessert. While final order cut off is July 30 for a Saturday night meal, keep an eye out if you’re in the area in case they continue into the following weekend. Check out some of their other online options to add wine and champagne.

The warehouse-turned-café is devoted to championing ethical produce and building community. While this is a challenging goal at the moment, Karma and Crow is selling various essentials and delicious supplements made locally. Check out the shop, or grab a gift card from the homepage.
