Tickets are selling fast for Pinot Celebration Australia, an – as the name suggests – all-consuming, totally immersive celebration of Australian pinot noir, held on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula on February 10–11, 2023.
Now in its 10th year, Pinot Celebration is a two-day event comprising tastings, workshops, seminars, lunches, dinners and more, hosted by the best minds in Australian wine. And while Australian examples – including the making and growing – are the focus, there’s opportunity to benchmark against some international expressions of pinot noir, too.
Pinot Celebration Australia will take place on February 10–11, 2023.
A series of themed sessions on day one will cover topics such as tackling and responding to climate change through conscientious farming and regeneration; an international exploration of ‘place’ and why it matters; and value and the market influences shaping pinot noir. Each session includes at least six wines.
On day two, after a tasting of 10 wines from the Mornington Peninsula led by Andrew Caillard MW, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from one of three workshops, and then one of eight seminars.
Over two days in February, take part in pinot noir tastings, workshops, seminars, lunches, dinners and more.
Our pick for the workshop is Pinot Connection; a delicious dive into terroir and the food-wine nexus hosted by Melbourne Food & Wine Festival CEO Anthea Loucas Bosha.
And for the seminar, join wine writer Katie Spain and winemaker Steve Flamsteed as they match pinot noir from high altitudes with alpine-style cheeses from the same regional locations.
Tickets cost $1500 per person (or $1350 per person if bought in sets of two) and are strictly limited. To purchase or to view the full program, head to pinotcelebration.com.au
